| Biography: | Edwina McGlinn completed her PhD in Molecular and developmental biology in 2004 at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience at the University of Queensland.
Prior to joining ARMI, Edwina completed her Post-doctoral studies as a Research Fellow in the Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School in Professor Clifford Tabin’s Laboratory.
Dr McGlinn’s research interest has centred on using the developing limb bud to understand genetic hierarchies governing patterning mechanisms. The reiterative use of key signalling pathways across multiple organs has meant that the limb, with it’s advantages of ease of manipulation and lack of requirement for embryonic survival, has provided fundamental contributions to an understanding of broader developmental processes.
