 Blood cover Jan 2011
Felix Ellett, Luke Pase, John Hayman and Graham Lieschke of the Lieschke Group have
published a paper in the January 2011 edition of Blood. Their image appears on the cover of the publication.

This research was undertaken by the team while they worked at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, before moving to ARMI.

Image description: Tracks of neutrophils (green) and macrophages (red) in the period 6 to 9 hours after wounding of a zebrafish embryo tail. Macrophages dwell at the wound margin (right), whereas neutrophils resume a peripatetic behavior throughout the tail. The image is a maximum-intensity projection of transgenically marked leukocytes imaged in vivo in a compound Tg(mpx:EGFP/mpeg1:Gal4-VP16/UAS:Kaede) zebrafish embryo.

The paper "mpeg1 promoter transgenes direct macrophage-lineage expression in zebrafish" can be viewed at:  http://bloodjournal.hematologylibrary.org/cgi/content/short/117/4/e4
