Congratulations to ARMI researchers recently awarded NH&MRC and ARC grants.

NH&MRC Project Grant recipients:
  • Dr Robert Bryson-Richardson and Prof Peter Currie, for the research project: “Determining the pathobiology of human sarcomeric myopathies using zebrafish” ($491,956).
  • Dr James Bourne, for the projects: “Molecular and Cellular Changes Following a Cortical Injury: What Role Do They Play in Regeneration?” ($484,208) and “Developmental Plasticity in the Nonhuman Primate Visual Cortex” ($448,918).
ARC Discovery Grants recipients:
  • Prof Peter Currie, for the project: “Genetic and molecular basis of appendicular muscle formation” ($280,000 over 3 years)
  • Dr Catherine Boisvert, for the project “Fleshing out the fossil record: using organically preserved soft tissues and bone to explore the evolution of unique vertebrate characters” ($710,000 over 5 years).
