Research groups at ARMI are named for the Group Leader of each group.

  • Bourne group: Development and maturation of the cerebral cortex of primates and other mammals
  • Currie group: Zebrafish muscle development and evolution
  • Heng group: Nerve cell production and maturation in the mammalian brain
  • Kaslin group: Mechanisms of cellular brain plasticity
  • Lieschke group: Development and function of white blood cells (leukocytes)
  • Marcelle group: Morphogenesis and tissue growth during embryonic development
  • McGlinn group: genetic heirarchies governing patterning mechanisms
  • Plachta group: dynamic mechanisms in embryo patterning
  • Rosenthal group:Embryonic heart development, ageing mechanisms and stem cell-driven regeneration of neuromuscular and cardiac tissue
