After completing her PhD at the Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris, during which she investigated the role of vascular growth factor VEGF-C on embryonic neurogenesis and migration, Jihane joined James Bourne’s group in October 2008 to investigate the patterning factor underlying the specification of functional areas identity in the primate neocortex. This research lead her into the realm of neurodevelopmental cognitive disorders, including autism spectrum disorders and schizophrenia.
